Hi all! My name is Ali and I am a 24 year-old Certified Personal Trainer and self-proclaimed fitness nut and foodie. I am a full-time Personal Trainer at Equinox and have gone through over 200 hours of education through the Equinox Fitness Training Institute and am Pre & Post Natal Certified. I have worked with over 30 different clients to achieve their health and fitness goals in and out of the gym, and I want to use this blog to help readers too! I am currently a student working towards a Masters of Science in Nutrition Education from American University and I'm excited to use my new education platform towards this blog!
The Recipe section is about original recipes that I cook at home. I love to cook healthy and creative meals, and I am always on the search for the next great meal to make. Don't get me wrong though- I LOVE desserts and have a huge sweet tooth, so dessert recipes can be found here too! I try to make healthier versions of classic desserts that are just as satisfying as the real deal.
The next section, Traveling, Food and Fitness, is about restaurants I have eaten at, traveling abroad or in the U.S, and anything fitness related. I love to explore the food scene in new cities so that I can further discover the evolving cultures of food. I also want to share my favorite workouts or fitness advice for you to start incorporating into your weekly routines. I have trained and completed an olympic-distant triathlon, a half-marathon, a sprint triathlon and a super spartan race. So, if you have any questions or concerns about training for races, I'm your girl!
All my blogs incorporate my passions in life and what I have learned throughout my experiences and education within these passions. They are here to help you begin or maintain a healthy lifestyle.
